The objective of the M.A. program in Business Information Systems (BIS) is to train students as experts in the application of information systems in the business world. Students are expected to acquire the competence and vision to effectively implement and manage information systems in institutions in every sector. Applicants with a B.A. or B.S. degree from any field, excluding a B.S./B.A. in Management Information Systems, are encouraged to apply.
Students are expected to complete the program in three consecutive semesters, corresponding to the Fall, Spring and Summer semesters of the university. However, students without relevant background may take the foundation courses. The requirement for graduation is the completion of 30 credits, obtained from 10 credit courses, one non-credit seminar and one non-credit project.
The program is designed to add value to the professional careers of the candidates who want to be specialized in business information systems.

Foundation Courses
For admitted students a foundation exam degree is expected. Successful students may start directly to graduate courses otherwise students should take Technical and Managerial Foundation courses..

Dates of Application: The second half of July for each year. (will be announced by the registrar’s office)
Quota for the Program: The quota for the program is 30 students.Application Documents
- A completed application form that can be taken from the Registrar's Office.
- B.A. or B.S. degree from any field, excluding a B.S./B.A. in Management Information Systems.
- GPA of minimum 2.00/4.00 or equivalent.
- The Graduate Education Entrance Examination (ALES) score of minimum 65 from the EA part or a GMAT score of minimum 480 or a GRE-Quantitative score of minimum 660.
- An adequate score from one of the following English Proficiency exams,
- Boğaziçi University English Proficiency Exam, or
- TOEFL, or
- ELTS.Other documents required by the Registrar’s Office.
Those applicants with complete admission documents and requirements will take a written exam and an interview. The candidates will be evaluated according to their GPA, GMAT/LES, and TOEFL scores and to the results of the written exams and interviews.
